The staff at Stevens High School looks forward to working with you in the upcoming years as your child progresses through high school preparing for high school graduation and postsecondary pursuits.
It is very important to spend some time explaining educational opportunities, pathways, the registration process, and graduation requirements of South Dakota and Rapid City Area Schools. We will provide valuable information and answer questions to help you and your child(ren) make quality decisions as you prepare for Stevens High School registration for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

The staff at Stevens High School recommends that students consider career interests and scholarship requirements to make course choices.
Students must enroll in a minimum of six courses per semester. Seniors must enroll in a minimum of 5 classes first semester. The student's typical academic performance and participation in extracurricular activities should be considered when determining class load.
Students will not be allowed to remove any course selections after the registration process, as staffing is based on students' course selections. Staffing is based on students' course selections; therefore, dropping a class will only be allowed in rare and unique circumstances.
South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship academic requirements:
GPA is at least 3.0. No final grade below C in courses required for the scholarship
ACT composite score of 24 or greater or SAT combined score of 1180 or above
Attend a university, college, or technical school accredited by Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and that provides instruction from a campus located in South Dakota
The SD Opportunity Scholarship course curriculum is not required for any student who has received an ACT composite or Super Score of 28 or higher and has sub scores equal to or exceeding 18 for English, 22 for Reading, 22 for Math and 23 for Science.
