Today is National Custodian Appreciation Day.  We appreciate all the hard work our astounding custodians do every day for our school.  Find a custodian and thank them for making your school a better place.


Jostens will be at Stevens in the main lobby on October 8th and 9th from 8:00- 3:30 for senior graduation orders.  Senior packets were mailed to your home address from Jostens/ North Dakota last Friday.



Students who have signed up to take the PSAT, please go to the Multi-purpose room in the Link for a short meeting today at 10:00 .


A representative from BHSU will be in the Link today during the lunch periods.


Sophomores come learn more about HOBY, the state’s annual seminar for young leaders on Thursday at 7:45 am in the 9th grade lunchroom.  Stevens gets to send two sophomores to this annual youth leadership seminar at Dakota State University next summer.  Applications will be available Thursday in Student Services.


SDSM&T will be hosting a presentation Thursday during conferences from 5:30-6:30 pm in the 9th grade lunchroom on Financial Aid and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The FAFSA opened yesterday for current seniors and is the method for applying for Federal Aid including grants, work study and loans.



The October 8th NHS meeting place has been moved to the Link multipurpose room at 7:40 am. If you have questions, see Mr. Norcross or Mrs. Conway.


FBLA will meet Thursday at 7:15 am in room 110 to discuss the activities for the year and  fundraising activities.  Plus, we have a guest speaker discussing FBLA National Competition.  If you are interested in joining, this is the meeting to attend.


Students who are willing to share their talents through theatre engagement should consider joining the Take ACTion team.  New team members are needed for upcoming performances.  The  next rehearsal is this Sunday from 12-2pm at Rimrock Exchange – Downtown.  There is also a Teen Up Ambassador meeting scheduled this Sunday at 2 pm. at Rimrock Exchange -Downtown.   Anyone willing to create change and build a stronger community is invited to attend.  And finally, applications for the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards are open online @  – All students who have made meaningful contributions to our community through volunteer service should apply.   Any questions, please contact Kristin Kiner @605-310-4400.
