Freshmen do not have open campus.  You must remain in the school building during your lunch period.

 

Jostens will be at Stevens in the main lobby on October 8th and 9th from 8:00- 3:30 for senior graduation orders.  Senior packets were mailed to your home address from Jostens/ North Dakota last Friday.

 

FROM STUDENT SERVICES

Students:  If you are signed up to take the PSAT and missed the meeting on Wednesday morning please see Brenda in Student Services for the information that was received.

 

School of Mines will be hosting a presentation tonight during conferences from 5:30-6:30 pm in the 9th grade lunchroom on Financial Aid and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The FAFSA opened yesterday for current seniors and is the method for applying for Federal Aid including grants, work study and loans.

 

Attention All Sophomores – Join other sophomores from South Dakota at an all-expense paid HOBY Leadership Seminar next summer. HOBY is the nation’s foremost youth development organization. The HOBY mission is to inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation. Applications are available in Student Services.  Application deadline is Friday, October 11.

 

ACTIVITIES

There will be a NHS meeting next Tuesday morning at 7:40, in the Link multipurpose room. If you have questions, see Mr. Norcross or Mrs. Conway.

 

Students who are willing to share their talents through theatre engagement can join the Take ACTion team.  The  next rehearsal is Sunday from 12-2pm at Rimrock Exchange – Downtown.  There is also a Teen Up Ambassador meeting scheduled this Sunday at 2 pm. at Rimrock Exchange -Downtown for students willing to create change and build a stronger community.  And finally, applications for the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards are open online @ spirit.prudential.com  – for students who have made meaningful contributions to our community through volunteer service.   Any questions, please contact Kristin Kiner @605-310-4400.
