FROM THE MAIN OFFICE

This week is National Security Officer Appreciation week.  Please show your appreciation to Niki Kruse, James McGuire, Frank Gutierrez, Karlos Simpson, Alan Thompson, and Greg McGaa by thanking them for keeping our school safe.  Be sure to view the TV screens where we listed a few interesting facts about each Security Officer.

 

9th grade students, please be aware that other than the lunchroom, you may only be in 3 areas during lunch.  Library, Commons and Courtyard.  For any other area you will need to obtain a pass/permission.

 

FROM STUDENT SERVICES

Seniors- “Exploring College Options” will be giving a presentation on Thursday at 7:00pm at the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn.  College reps include Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, Penn and Stanford.  You must register for this event.  See Brenda in Student Services for more information.

 

Applications for the US Senate Youth Program are available in Student Services.  You must be in an elected position in the community to apply.  See Brenda in Student Services with questions.

 

Applications for the 2020 SD Legislative Page sessions are available in Student Services.

 

AP Students need to create a College Board account and use their AP teacher Join-Code to enroll in MyAP online and access resources to help with success in the AP class and on the May AP Exam. AP teachers have information.

 

ACTIVITIES

Students interested in becoming Certified Emergency Responders may sign up for a free course provided by Pennington County Emergency Management.  Evening classes start September 23.  See Brenda in Student Services or Mrs. Storm in Room 319 for more information.
